Gravel & Grace hosts Canberra Blues Society Youth In Blues Jam on Sunday 17^th August at the Harmonie German Club.

Gravel & Grace had its genesis a few years back when the Foster siblings began attending the Candelo Blues Club’s Youth in Blues program. Since then they’ve continued to hone their skills and developed their act. They’ve also stepped out to join jam sets with other players, leaving the comfort of their sibling familiarity. Pretty brave when you consider how young they were when they started out!

Sarah Foster (19) leads the band with her sweet vocals and keyboard skills.

Toby Foster (16) anchors the rhythm section with his well-grounded blues sensibility on drums.

Eli Foster (14) is the group’s bass man and can groove with the best of them.

Add to the lineup Canberra’s own Liam James (22) on sizzling guitar and you’ve got a force to reckon with!

The future of the Blues is assured when we have young players such as these with fire and passion digging into the rich tradition that underpins so much of modern music.

Gravel & Grace have got the Blues!

The host band will be followed by some of the finest musicians of all ages in the Canberra region, jamming together for a fabulous afternoon of live blues music.
